For homework we had to give 8 interesting and amazing facts about Ancient Egypt. We were provided with a video and a website that has awesome facts about Egypt. I chose 8 of those facts and here they are down below!

All about Amy

Talofa Lava my name is Amy. I am a year 7 student attending Glen Taylor School. I am 11 years of age and I am in Room 11. I am Samoan and I have 2 siblings. A sister and a brother. Some of my favourite hobbies would most probably be singing, reading, cooking and also cleaning. Can you believe that cleaning is one of my favourite hobbies. I’m not sure why but I just love to clean when I’m bored. In learning I am really good at reading and writing. Reading would most probably be my favourite subject but maths would be my weakest subject. I enjoy doing Inquiry and creating amazing pieces of art. My goals for this year is probably to improve more in maths and I want to be more confident in front of an audience and hopefully get lots of awards at the end of the year. This year I am really looking forward to more class projects. I also can’t wait to create more artwork and posters this year. I can’t wait for the school events coming up as well. I really want to achieve my goals that I have set for the year. My mum and dad inspire me to go for gold. If there is anyone in this world that I can look up to or always rely on it would be my parents. Thanks for looking at my blog. I can’t wait to show you more of my learning throughout the year. He kicks and he ... SCORES!

Today some of Glen Taylor Schools Year 7 and 8 students went out to Point England Reserve to represent our school in soccer. We also got the chance to model out our new sports uniforms! We enjoyed playing with pride and positiveness and we ended the tournament in 4th place! Here is a photo of the entire team at the end of the tournament!

Descriptive Writing

For homework today we had to describe the image that was given. The image is down below with my text of what the person looks like. I described what she was wearing and what she looked like. Take a look at my work!

SMART GOALS

Today the leaders of the school had leadership day where we learnt how to build up our confidence. One of our tasks were to fill in the table with 2 or 3 goals that we would like to achieve! Take a look at my goals!

Number Problems!

For maths today we learnt how to solve number problems. We were given a slide with questions that we needed to answer. We also had to write how we got the answer. Here is the slide!

Math Problems

In class today we worked on solving decimal problems. We used money to make it easier. We were given a slide with the questions on it. We then had to explain how we got the answer. Here is my slide!

Amazon Rain forest!

Today for homework we were assign ed to give 8 facts about the Amazon Rain Forest. There was a video with 24 facts about the rain forest and we had to choose 8 of those. I decided to create a poster about it. Enjoy!

Mind Map

Today with Mrs Grant we had to fill in a table. To fill in the table we had to go to someone else's blog and read there posts. We then had to fill in the boxes in the table! We were learning how to explore other students blogs.
