Anzac Art!

In class we have been focusing on Anzac Day. We created pieces of art including our own anzac silhouettes. These silhouettes defined anything that had a relation to war. Behind our silhouettes we used pastels to create a sunrise or sunset affect. I chose to do the sunset using pink, purple and blue.

I enjoyed creating these magnificent pieces of art as it was very fun and it shows the respect for soldiers. If I could change anything about my artwork, I would change the colour choice in the background to pink, orange and yellow because it defines the sunset a bit better.

I chose this silhouette because it shows the given respect for those who have fought for New Zealand during the time of war.

My Waka

In class we creating small waka's. What is a waka you ask. Well, a small boat or canoe but NO - it wasn't a real waka. It was a paper one that we folded to be 3D. We first added some colour and then cut it out. Afterwards we glued the sides and it turned into a beautiful waka that is now hanging on the wall. Here is my waka that I created!

All About Me Box

In class we created amazing All About. What is an All About Me box you say! Well, There are 4 flaps. On each side we included our values, goals culture and family. What I liked about this project was that we got to be very creative by including glitter, stickers, envelopes, colour, images and as many things as we wanted. I had tones of fun and I am very proud of my end result! Here is my All About Me Box!

My 4 Highlights!

For one of our end of year tasks we had to create a poster with 2 main highlights of the year, best thing about our class and a message. The kick was that we were only allowed to use illustrations. No words at all! We then gave our posters some colours and they now look amazing. Here are some of our posters!

Dogo News - Toggle

For our Dogo News Activity we had to create a toggle about it.  My toggle is shaped as a house because that is the logo of the Dogo News website. Here is my FANTASTIC toggle artwork.

Calendar Art

Glen Taylor School students have been working hard on their artwork! This piece of art goes onto their very own calendar for 2018. It can also go on the cover of a diary or notebook that they can keep! I have worked on my piece of artwork that looks like this!

My Water Cycle Lantern!

For the last couple of weeks Room 11 has been doing Water Cycle Lanterns for writing. This is when we get 4 circles and on each circle we do a different topic on The Water Cycle. One circle is for an explanation of the water cycle and another one is for an illustration of the water cycle. The last two are for the meaning of the 4 main stages of a water cycle and a text about the different type of clouds. Here is my completed water cycle lantern!

My Restaurant Design!

Today for technology we had to complete the table below. This table helped us to create our restaurant boxes. I decided to shape my box in the shape of a noodle box. It would be colourful and have a lot of images on it. Here is my design!
