For homework this week we were given a famous person and we were assigned to answer the questions that were given. We then had to write a few facts about that person. We were given Nelson Mandela. I had created a poster for this activity! Take a look at it!

Hi Amy, your homework about Nelson Mandela was wonderful. I learnt that he was the first black president in South Africa. I wonder why he was the first one in his family to go to school? Do you know?

Nelson Mandela was the first to attend high school in his family because most schools are full with white people and Nelson Mandela was a black man. His family was also black so it felt weird for them while being around white people.
