Choices in the community!

For LCS, Room 11 has been focusing on Choices in the Community. We created presentations that included 3 different sources of learning. We learnt about the different bad and good choices in the community. We then researched about the one thing that we wanted to learn more about. I chose to focus on the pollution around our community. Here is my presentation!

  1. Amy, what a great project to be involved in. I can see you have really thought about all the ways that litter affects us all and our communities. I was really interested in where we find litter and the different types of litter. I was surprised that rubbish around roads was so high. I wonder why this is? I was also surprised that food and drink packaging combined is almost as high as non packaging litter! I wonder what the food/takeaway companies think of all their packaging ending up as litter? I wonder if they have thought of ways to encourage people to put their rubbish in the right place? Should they be considering biodegradable packaging?

  2. Hey Helen

Creating this project was very fun and I was also surprised with the results that I found out about littering. I think that ALL supermarkets should stop giving out plastic bags and the customers should start to bring their own shopping bags. This would decrease the amount of plastic being polluted into the ocean.

I appreciate the fact that you have visited my blog and given many positive feedback.

    Amy
